About the Middle Province
The Middle Province
The beating heart of Gaza Strip — a central location and a rich economic history
The Middle Province enjoys a distinguished geographical location in the heart of the Gaza Strip, situated between the provinces and extending from the western coast to the eastern areas, making it a key link between the north and south of the Strip and a vital corridor for the movement of people and trade.
Thanks to this central location, the province has played an important role in supporting the local economy through its industrial, agricultural, commercial, and service activities, in addition to hosting thousands of small and medium enterprises that contributed to job creation and reinforcing the resilience of the population.
Its markets and commercial centers have attracted residents from various provinces due to its central location and easy access via more than one corridor, most notably Salah Al-Din Street, one of the main arteries for movement and trade within the Gaza Strip.
Despite the severe damage to homes, public facilities, markets, and agricultural lands, the Middle Province has once again proven to be a symbol of resilience, as its people, traders, farmers, and business owners continue to work with strong determination to restore life to their cities, camps, and areas.
The Middle Province, despite its wounds, will remain the beating heart of the Gaza Strip, capable of rising again and restoring its vital role in supporting the Palestinian economy and serving the community.
