Middle Province Chamber Holds Coordination Meeting to Discuss Local Markets Support and Organization Project

On Sunday, September 27, 2026, a joint coordination meeting was held at the headquarters of the Middle Province Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture. The meeting brought together representatives from the Chamber, Nuseirat Municipality, and Buraij Municipality, within the framework of coordination and consultation regarding a project proposal to support and organize local markets in the Middle Province.
The meeting aimed to discuss the current status of the markets and existing challenges in the Nuseirat and Buraij areas. It also explored potential joint cooperation to help organize commercial movement, improve the market environment, and serve both traders and citizens.
During the meeting, the project concept and its general objectives were presented. Discussions addressed challenges related to unregulated commercial activities, traffic congestion on certain streets, and the need to provide suitable spaces for organizing market stalls and traders in a manner that considers residents' needs and ease of movement. Furthermore, attendees discussed the key criteria for selecting project implementation sites, which include safety and security considerations, population and commercial density, accessibility, and the capacity of locations to accommodate targeted activities.
The meeting also highlighted the expected impact of the project in reducing congestion and providing a more suitable environment for traders and shoppers. Additionally, mechanisms for cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and the two municipalities during the preparation and implementation stages were examined.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all parties agreed to maintain joint coordination to thoroughly study the proposed sites, identify the needs and priorities of each area, and exchange necessary data to finalize the project proposal. They also agreed to continue consultations to establish clear cooperation frameworks that ensure the project's success and the fulfillment of its practical goals.
